SASE Travel Grant (Need-Based) - Summer Programs Grant

Amount: $500

Deadline: Closed

Study Abroad - Study Abroad

The University of Arizona Travel Grant is a competitive award offered by Study Abroad and Student Exchange (SASE).  Make learning your adventure through UA Study Abroad.  When you realize that tomorrow's challenges are all global and require a global perspective, every experience with another culture is educational and each step holds meaning.  We're here to help you connect with resources to make studying abroad financially feasible.

Additional need-based funding is available to students enrolled in Arizona in Orvieto (Italy) or Arizona in the Aegean (Greece) during Summer 2018 AND enrolled in at least one course with faculty in the Department of Religious Studies and Classics. To be considered for this additional funding, please see the courses listed at and indicate in your application which of these courses you plan to take while in Italy or Greece in your application. A limited number of awards are available ranging from $1,000-$5,000.

To apply for the need-based Travel Grant, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a degree-seeking UA student accepted to a SASE-promoted program
  • Receive the Pell Grant/University Grant OR accept student loans OR write a need justification statement that details how you demonstrate need (this statement will be evaluated separately for eligibility)
  • Must not have received the Travel Grant in a previous cycle
*Note: SASE reserves the right to review complete financial student profile to determine need
