Description

The Shirley D. Curson Education Plus award supports international travel expenses for students in the School of Journalism with regard to opportunities to study abroad, with preference given to students studying in classes or programs provided by the School of Journalism in other countries, including internships in other countries and other endeavors that are beyond those provided by the normal University of Arizona campus environment.  Preference will be given to a graduate student in the School of Journalism, but an undergraduate student could be considered only if they have completed at least their junior year and will be returning to the University of Arizona for the following semester.  This award is to be provided to a student with a demonstrated potential for international journalism.  Financial need must not be a criterion.


Eligibility

  • Graduate Student majoring in Journalism
  • Participating in a study abroad class or program provide by the School of Journalism
  • Undergraduate students who at least completed their junior year and will be returning the following semester.
